What is the frequency of conducting QAC audits?
  • QAC's first two rounds of quality audits, which covered first degree programmes and above (however funded) offered by the eight UGC-funded universities, were completed in 2011 and 2016 respectively. Quality audits of the sub-degree operations of the UGC-funded universities were completed in 2019.

  • The Audit Manuals, Audit Reports and Progress Reports in respect of the quality audits of the first and second audit cycles as well as the sub-degree operations are available at the QAC website (https://www.ugc.edu.hk/eng/qac/quality/first_degree.html).

  • The third audit cycle, which covers all programmes at the levels of sub-degree, first degree and above, however funded, leading to a qualification wholly or partly awarded by the UGC-funded universities, has commenced with the audit visits to take place from early 2023 for completion by end 2024.
