How does the UGC collect views from its stakeholders?

  • The UGC listens to views of its stakeholders and the community through various channels, including visits to universities (such as organising "Getting to Know the UGC" sessions to meet with students and staff, meetings with the members of the Senates or Academic Boards, and meeting with Deans of Faculties and Heads of Academic Departments), meetings with student representatives, meetings with stakeholder groups on specific issues, meetings with Heads of Universities Committee and providing a Higher Education Forum at the UGC website for the public to express their opinions, etc. The UGC has a Blog <http://www.ugc.edu.hk/minisite/eng/ugc/blog/index.htm> to update the public of its latest activities/issues and solicit public feedback. We also attend relevant panel/committee meetings of the Legislative Council to explain the work of the UGC as necessary.
