UGC Chairman thanks President of CityU for his contributions over the years

On the announcement of the retirement of Professor Way Kuo, President of the City University of Hong Kong (CityU), upon completion of his tenure in 2023, the Chairman of the University Grants Committee (UGC), Mr Carlson Tong, would like to thank Professor Kuo for his valuable contributions over the years.

Mr Tong said, "During his tenure as the CityU's President for more than a decade, Professor Way Kuo had spearheaded the CityU's efforts in innovation, entrepreneurship, research and the launch of the first UGC-funded Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine programme in the 2019/20 academic year. I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Professor Kuo. I look forward to continuing our partnership with the CityU and working closely with his successor to support the development of the university as well as our higher education sector."
