Sub-Group on Institutional Development and Taught Programmes

Terms of Reference

In the context of taking forward the Planning Exercise for the 2028/29 to 2030/31 triennium, the Sub-Group on Institutional Development and Taught Programmes is established under the Strategy Sub-group of University Grants Committee to –

1. assume the primary role in assessing universities' Planning Exercise Proposals in respect of institutional visions and missions, integration into national strategies, teaching and learning, internationalisation, institutional social responsibilities and the financial health of the universities;

2. devise assessment framework and technical parameters relevant to the Planning Exercise;

3. consider the recommended allocation of student places for taught programmes; and

4. conduct recurrent grants assessment.
