(B) Selection Panel's Comments for Applicants' Reference
1. Quality of applications (i.e. strengths, weaknesses and gaps of proposals):
- The proposals were of high quality with great potential impacts to the societal and economic development of Hong Kong. Some good projects were not funded due to limitations on the total TRS budget.
- In general, re-submitted proposals have improved over the previous submissions although there were also a few that showed little improvements.
- TRS is an excellent scheme that has funded some truly excellent and ground-breaking research projects over the years.
