NG Tai-kai

Professor Ng Tai-kai is internationally recognised for his distinguished contribution to the understanding of theoretical condensed matter physics. He is a fellow of the American Physical Society and a Croucher Foundation Senior research fellow.

Professor Ng has been deeply involved in education in Hong Kong. In 2012-2018, he was a Council Member of the then Hong Kong Institute of Education (Education University of Hong Kong) and was the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education from 2014-2020. He was also a member of the Task Force on Review of School Curriculum of the Education Bureau (2017-2020) and is now the Chairperson of the Committee on STEM Education, Curriculum Development Council and the Chairperson, as well as the Assessment Panel on Science Education Key Learning Area, Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence 2021/2022.
