Martí CASADESÚS FA

Dr Martí Casadesús Fa is a Professor in the Department of Business Management and Product Development at the University of Girona (UdG) in Spain. He studied Industrial Engineering in the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and holds a Doctorate in Industrial Engineering from UdG. He is currently the Co-director of the Research Group in Product, Process and Production at UdG and the Director of the Consolidated Research Group in Technological Innovations in the Productive Process. Both groups are devoted to the design of new planning and management of production systems, as well as quality management.

The research of Dr Casadesús Fa focuses on quality management with publications made in research journals such as the Total Quality Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, The TQM Magazine, International Journal of Operations and Management, etc. As of November 2020, his h-index on the Web of Science is 19, on the Scopus is 30 and on the Google Scholar is 46.

Dr Casadesús Fa has been one of the Spanish experts on the Technical Committee 176 of International Organisation for Standardization, which is dedicated to the creation of new management standards. He has been the Vice-Dean at the Polytechnic School, the Vice-Rector for Quality Teaching and the Vice-Rector for Planning and Quality at the UdG.

Since 2013, Dr Casadesús Fa has been the director of AQU Catalunya, which is the main instrument for the promotion and assurance of quality in the Catalan higher education system. He is also a Board Member and the Secretariat of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education.
