Professor Jackie Lee obtained her MEd, MA and PhD in Linguistics from The University of New South Wales in Australia. Her research interests include language and gender, corpus studies, English grammar, experiential learning and learning studies. Before joining The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), she worked at Ying Wa College, City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University.

Professor Lee is currently the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) of the Faculty of Humanities of EdUHK. Her major role is to oversee undergraduate programmes ensuring that the academic quality and services meet student needs and are in alignment with the development of the Faculty and University.

Professor Lee was previously Head and Associate Head of the Department of Linguistics and Modern Language Studies, Associate Head of the former Department of English, Programme Leader of BA in Language Studies, and PGDE Field Experience Coordinator and Immersion Coordinator. She has been appointed to serve on various committees and panels responsible for programme/department review, curriculum development, programme validation and programme area accreditation.
