Eric YU Kwan-wai

Professor Eric Yu Kwan-wai is currently the Associate Vice-President (Quality Assurance) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). His major role is to oversee the use of the Teaching Development and Language Enhancement Grants and the implementation of the quality assurance and quality enhancement mechanisms of the University. He was previously the Associate Dean (Research and Postgraduate Studies) of the Faculty of Humanities and the Leader of the BA (Language Studies) programme. Before joining EdUHK in 2012, he served as the Chair of Department of Foreign Languages and Literature as well as the Director of Film Studies Centre at National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.

Professor Yu obtained his MPhil and PhD in English (Comparative Literature) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests range from Romantic poetry, gothic fiction, Chinese-Western comparative literature to film studies. At EdUHK, he has been appointed to various committees and working groups responsible for curriculum development, programme review, programme revalidation, programme area accreditation, and quality audits.
