Charles WONG Man-sing

Professor Charles Wong is currently the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Construction and Environment, and a Professor at the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Over the years, Professor Wong has received three Faculty Awards for Outstanding Performance/Achievement Award in Teaching (Team Award) in 2014 and 2016; and Teaching (Individual Award) in 2019, respectively; a Dean's Award for Outstanding Achievement in Research Funding in 2016; and Dean's Award for Outstanding Achievement in Technology Transfer in 2020 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has also received international awards including International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva (Geneva Inventions Expo) 2021, Gold medal; and 2021 Smart 50 Awards (50 recipients in the world, smartcitiesconnect.org).

Professor Wong's areas of research include remote sensing, geographic information science, internet of things, and geomatics technology. He has received funding supports from the UGC Teaching and Learning Funding Scheme, Collaborative Research Fund, General Research Fund, Environment and Conversation Fund, Construction Industry Council Research Fund, Public Policy Research Funding Scheme, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charity Trust, and HKSAR Government.
