Does the QAC monitor associate degree programmes of institutions?
  • In the sub-degree sector, programmes offered by non-self-accrediting providers are subject to accreditation by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ). Sub-degree programmes offered by the self-accrediting UGC-funded institutions are subject to the same internal quality assurance processes as the publicly-funded degree programmes. In addition, the self-financing sub-degree programmes are also subject to quality review by the Joint Quality Review Committee (JQRC), which was established by the Heads of Universities Committee.
