The University Grants Committee calls for
submissions of initial proposals for the
Fifth Round.
To facilitate applicants to prepare their
initial proposals, the Guidance Notes at
Appendix
I set out the fundamentals,
a template
for applicants and the assessment criteria
for reference. The Fifth Round will be modelled
on the operational framework of the Fourth
Round with some new features/changes.
Both applicants and institutions should
study carefully the Guidance Notes in preparing
their initial submissions. Recognizing
that the nature and focus of AoE proposals
should be diverse, the template for preparation
of proposals, as suggested in the Guidance
Notes, is for general broad reference only.
The actual format of the initial proposals
may vary slightly as appropriate, taking
into account the particular circumstances
of the proposals.
