Sub-Group on Institutional Development and Taught Programmes

Terms of Reference

In the context of taking forward the Planning Exercise for the 2025/26 to 2027/28 triennium, the Sub-Group on Institutional Development and Taught Programmes is established under the Strategy Sub-group of University Grants Committee to –

1. assume the primary role in assessing universities’ Planning Exercise Proposals in respect of institutional development, integration into national strategies and internationalisation, teaching and learning, institutional social responsibilities and financial health;

2. devise assessment framework for allocation of student places for taught programmes;

3. consider the recommended allocation of student places for taught programmes; and

4. conduct recurrent grants assessment.
