Dr Vicky Lee is currently the Associate Head (Academic Development) of the College of International Education (CIE), Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). She has taught English writing and English literature to Associate Degree (AD) students since 2003 when she first joined the University. She herself was once an AD student at New York University, New York, before returning to Hong Kong to continue her undergraduate and doctoral studies at the School of English, University of Hong Kong.

Dr Lee has played a major role in the academic development at HKBU CIE since 2011. Being a member of the HKBU General Education Committee, she had begun the task of promulgating to teaching staff the principles as well as the theory and praxis of General Education (GE) in the AD curriculum. As an outcome-based teaching and learning (OBTL) advocate and a member of the OBTL Taskforce under the HKBU Teaching and Learning Policy Committee, she also played a pivotal role in implementing OBTL in the AD curriculum. She had frequently conducted seminars/talks on the OBTL principles, constructive alignment in course design and OBTL principles in criterion-referenced assessment. She is currently working on the review of the GE curriculum at the College, with major emphasis on the interdisciplinary focus of GE courses.

In February 2017, she was awarded the HKBU School Performance Award in recognition of excellent performance in service. In August 2017, she was also awarded the Dean's Recognition in Teaching Achievement.

Dr Lee's scholarly publications are mainly in autobiographical writings. Her professional research interests include writing across curriculum, English language competency and Mainland students' linguistic adjustment in the sub-degree sector.
