Sara BOOTH

Dr Sara Booth established the Student Evaluation, Review and Reporting Unit (SERRU) at the University of Tasmania to provide institutional and strategic support to the University on data priorities, needs and projects. She has led over 15 national and international benchmarking projects, engaging with over 60 higher education institutions. Her national and international quality work is underpinned by research and she has set up a research consultancy.

In 2015, in recognition of her strategic external relationships and partnerships, she was appointed Strategic Advisor-Quality External. An important part of her role encompasses building a national support mechanism in peer review with Higher Ed Services, a not-for-profit organisation which includes a national online peer review tool and national professional development workshops. She also works with the Council of Private Higher Education (COPHE) establishing a national dataset of benchmarking data and processes with 32 private providers. Sara was awarded Principal Fellow with the Higher Education Academy in 2016 in recognition of her institutional, national and international work.
