Mr Yau Chung-wan is an experienced practitioner of the secondary education sector. He founded Immanuel Lutheran College in 1983 and was the founding principal of Tsung Tsin Christian Academy from 2004 to 2010.

Mr Yau is a qualified External School Reviewer, and has been involved in educational quality assurance work, including implementation of ISO9002 in secondary schools, School Self-Evaluation Project and External School Review, since the mid-1990s. At present, he is Chairman of the Hong Kong Schools Self-Evaluation Network, and Member of the Governing Council of Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency. He is also Member of the Board of Trustees and Theological Council of Chung Chi College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Member of the Curriculum Development Council, Chairman of School Councils of CYMCA Secondary School and CYMCA Primary School in Tin Shui Wai, and Supervisor of Shatin Tsung Tsin School.
