基金委員會/研資局聯合科研基金本年度資助16個研究項目
香港研究資助局(研資局)和中國國家自然科學基金委員會(基金委)今日(11月30日)共同宣佈2000/01年度基金委/研資局聯合科研基金的撥款決定。研資局與基金委分別撥款1000萬港元和500萬元人民幣資助16項申請項目。
這16項獲資助的項目是由雙方評審後，在148份初步申請書中共同選出。
研資局與基金委於1998年11月成立為期3年的聯合科研基金試驗計劃，為促進香港與內地研究人員於信息科學、生物科學、新材料科學、海洋與環境科學、中醫中藥研究及管理科學6個領域的合作。基金的撥款可作為研究經費、及研究員互訪作學術交流的旅費和膳食費。
研資局主席楊綱凱教授表示有關計劃加強香港特別行政區與內地的科研聯繫，提供渠道讓兩地的研究人員就共同的研究領域互相合作。
研資局亦和基金委就下年度(2001/02年)的申請程序達成共識。下年度的申請通告亦於今日由雙方分別發佈；所有本港的初步申請必須於2001年1月15日或之前透過所屬院校向研資局提交。
